New information plaque
The parish council has installed an information plaque near to the new elm tree which was planted outside the church gates last December.

After the new disease-resistant elm tree was planted by Dame Andrea Leadsom on the 2nd December 2023 to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III, the parish council wanted to mark the occasion with an information plaque to explain the significance to the village of both the old elm tree and its replacement.
The plaque is now in it’s place outside the church gates, next to the new elm tree.
We hope it will provide useful information about Croughton, the church and the elm tree, for visitors to the area and future generations to read.
